the weekend.

I spend the weekend enjoying the company of my boyfriend and a Carolina game with some really amazing people. There is honestly nothing better than seeing the Gamecocks play and win in person.

Happy Monday! :)

today was a day of beginnings

I started my first day of work today. It was incredible seeing RN behind my name! And have I mentioned that almost everything in the hospital is TEAL. Today was just 8 long hours of new employee orientation, but just knowing that today was my first official day working as a NURSE was incredible.
Day one down and a lifetime to go! :)

Also, today marks 7 months for my sweet boyfriend and me. Where is the time going?! It seems like yesterday we were just friends dancing around the idea of dating and now, 7 months later, we are in such a loving relationship.

So, needless to say, I am feeling so unbelievably blessed today and thought I would share!

Haley's Bridal Luncheon

My cousin, Haley, is getting married on Saturday. Last weekend I attended her bridal luncheon. It was filled with friends, family, an amazing brunch, and delicious coffee. And with pictures of Haley and Kendall from their engagement photo shoot lacing the tables, the upcoming wedding was definitely in the air. Happy Wedding Week, Haley. I am so happy for you!

Why last week was just what I needed.

6 hour road trip with my boyfriend's (Tyler) parents.

Had a cookout with Tyler's family & friends.

Wasted an afternoon away shopping with Tyler's mom, sister-in-law, & niece.

Saw my amazing boyfriend every day for 5 days.
(this was a real treat for us)

Spent a day in Wilmington, NC.

Spent an afternoon walking on the beach picking up seashells.
(the plan was to get enough to decorate Tyler & his roommate's apartment. Lets just say I ended up taking them all home as presents to my nephews. )

Got to be a kid again at an awesome arcade place.
(where I almost beat Tyler TWICE in basketball)

It was an amazing 5 days & just what I needed.

St. Patrick's Day

I have been in living in Columbia for 5 years and I finally made it to the St. Patty's Day festival in 5 points. It was full of music, great friends, and tons of green!
